12" Stationary Blade Leather Splitter

This splitter will level or split firm leathers (we recommend vegetable-tanned leathers) from about 4 oz. up to about 16oz down to thinner weights more suitable for your projects. This is an excellent way to get a bit more out of your leather supply and scraps. You can also use this machine to "level off" your hides before using them in your projects. We some adjustment and care you can split your leather down to 1oz or thinner. 

The 20" feed, is great for leather pieces as wide as 18-19" wide in one or two passes. The motor's speed can be adjusted to run fast or slow - and includes reverse. 

Regularly stropping the blade keeps it very sharp and ready for use. You can also buy fairly affordable new blades from a number of vendors.
