Belt Maker's Templates

Make cleaner, more consistent leather belts with a reusable template set designed to simplify the most important measurements at both ends of the belt.

The Belt Maker’s Acrylic Template Set provides an accurate, repeatable layout for the billet end and buckle end of a traditional leather belt. Use the templates to mark your leather with a pen, pencil, scratch awl, or similar marking tool, or carefully guide a sharp cutting tool along the acrylic edge.

Clear engraved markings help you consistently position the buckle slot, hardware holes, adjustment holes, belt tip, and other important construction details. Whether you are making an occasional belt or producing them regularly in your workshop, these templates eliminate repeated measuring and help reduce costly layout mistakes.

Choose Your Belt Width

Available in two versions:

• 1.5-inch Belt Template Set — commonly used for men’s casual, work, western, and everyday belts
• 1.25-inch Belt Template Set — commonly used for dress belts, narrower casual belts, and many women’s belt styles

Each version is sold separately.

What’s Included

Each set includes two acrylic template pieces:

• Buckle-end template
• Billet-end and adjustment-hole template

The engraved layout provides guidance for the selected belt width, including relevant hole locations, spacing, buckle-slot placement, and belt-end shaping.

Built for the Workshop

Each Odin Leather Goods acrylic template is:

• Laser-cut from durable 1/8-inch tinted cast acrylic
• Strong enough for regular and production-shop use
• Transparent enough to help you see the leather’s grain, surface character, scars, and blemishes before cutting
• Suitable for use with a pencil, pen, scratch awl, or other leather-marking tool
• Durable enough to carefully use alongside sharp leatherworking knives and cutting tools
• Engraved with permanent notes and layout markings that will not rub away with normal use
• Designed and made in Texas by Odin Clack

The rigid acrylic construction makes it easier to create clean, repeatable leather components without redrawing or remeasuring the pattern for every belt.

The acrylic may arrive with a removable protective film on one or both sides. Remove the film before use.

Due to constant changes in our supply lines, your templates may be tinted green, blue, or orange. The color is not selectable, nor will it affect the functionality.
