Get ready for a fun and engaging dive into leather crafting with our Intro to Leather class! Perfect if you’ve never worked with leather, are just starting out, or simply want to try something fresh and creative. We kick things off with a tour of the workshop, where you’ll see a variety of tools and machines in action and learn about different types of leather and what they’re best for.
Then, it’s hands-on time at the workbench to make your very own leather creation from scratch. You’ll explore cutting techniques, playful design methods like carving and stamping, plus finishing touches like paint, burnish, and dye. Along the way, you’ll hear stories about OLG’s history and get all your leather questions answered!
